G.M Notes

Infield

The Hager City Skeeters are excited to feature some great young prospects on the infield and outfield the next several games.   Brock Luehman, Taylor Johnson, Tyler Regnier and Henry Jager will join veteran (19 year old) Lance Murphy and (20 year old) Elliot Jensen to round out the youngest infield in the S.C.V.L  Despite taking their lumps of late the Skeeters are very excited about the future of their young ball club.  Veterans Jermey Werner, Michael Maves, Elliot Foley, Cory Brathall, Garu Dusbabel, Jared Murphy, and versatile Ross Swieg will fill in when needed.

Outfield

The anchor in center is Chase Melstrom the rest of the outfield is still a question mark.  Injuries have bitten Ross Sweig and Mike Berg while newcomers Cody Furlong, Brock Luehman and veteran Chad Meltrom have looked good of late.   Nate Lemler a defensvie specialist and Tyler Frazier who can also D.H are competing for time.

Pitching

Pitching has been the achilles heel of the team this year as the lack of depth and consitency has been a big reason the young Skeeters are struggling.  Greg Peters is out with a torn rotator, Elliot Jensen has been slowed by a bum ankle, Brady Brenner has been struggling with contorl but continues to the ace of the staff why Wiley veteran Elliot Foley has held down the fort of late.  Marc Franson is another up and down player that is looking to rebound from a tough last outing.
